Brook Street Chapel

The Chapel once again took part in the National Heritage Open Days with this year’s title of “Architecture”.

The theme of our displays was: “Simplicity by Design” – a comparison between the traditional architecture of local Churches and the Simplicity of Brook Street and other local dissenting Chapels.

We were open to the public on  Friday, Saturday and Sunday and there was a steady stream of interested visitors.  The Gaskell Heritage Room was also open and a number of people watched the Gaskell video.  Refreshments were served in the Chapel Hall.  We were delighted to have a visit from our Town Mayor.
