Opus 5 provided a most entertaining concert to a packed audience in the Chapel on a fine summer evening.
Rod Rees (Bass/baritone), Jake Horler-Newsham (Tenor) and Sarah Mallen performed a variety of songs from operas and musicals. Wendy Nugent provided accompaniment and a couple of solo pieces on her keyboard and our Aya played some classical and popular music on the Chapel organ.A highlight was the animated performance of the ‘Sergeant Major’s Song’ by Rod in full military costume!
Altogether it was a most successful evening which was compered by Maurice. Drinks and refreshments were provided in the Chapel Hall during the interval.
